MYCP participated in the Civil Society Strategy and Engagement Forum, which brought together civil society organisations, migrant-led groups, and international partners to strengthen coordination and strategic engagement in global migration governance following the 2nd International Migration Review Forum (IMRF).

As part of the programme, Laura Coburn, MYCP’s Secretariat Coordinator, joined a panel reflecting on the outcomes of the 2026 IMRF, sharing insights on key achievements, persistent gaps, and pathways for strengthening civil society engagement and accountability in the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).

MYCP’s International Representative in Geneva, Yasmin Beldjelti, also facilitated a capacity-building session on diplomatic engagement, equipping participants with practical strategies for engaging Member States, navigating multilateral processes, and strengthening advocacy within international migration forums.

Hosted by the Civil Society Action Committee, the Forum provided an important space for civil society to exchange lessons learned, build partnerships, and identify coordinated approaches to advancing migrant rights and meaningful participation across global migration processes.
