MYCP participated participated in the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF)
MYCP’s Director of Advocacy and Campaigns, Nour Hassan and Member of the Youth Committee on Migration and Displacement Data, Luísa Santi participated in the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), bringing together governments, UN entities, civil society, youth and other stakeholders to advance transformative and coordinated action for the 2030 Agenda.
MYCP delegates contributed to panels, official sessions, youth-led events and bilateral engagements, bringing migration and youth perspectives into broader discussions on sustainable development and highlighting the inclusion of young migrants and refugees on inclusive cities, climate mobility, decent work, Youth, Peace and Security agenda, climate justice and resilience, and education. The Forum also strengthened partnerships with UN entities, Member States, youth networks and civil society.
MYCP underscored several priorities for continued engagement such as meaningful youth participation, embedding migration across SDG implementation, and recognizing young migrants and refugees as agents of change. Moving forward, MYCP will continue to build on the visibility, relationships and opportunities generated at HLPF to strengthen youth-led advocacy and ensure that young migrants and refugees have a meaningful role in shaping the policies and solutions that affect their lives.
